Galactus slaps the Sphinx so hard it disintegrates his shirt.
According to most comic scholars this is the first time a cosmic powered entity suffers the disintegration of a garment in combat. To make it more humiliating, Galactus sends the Sphinx back in time to relive the incident over and over in an endless time loop.
